How To Efficiently Utilize Mining And Herbalism For Gold Farming In WOTLK Classic Storm Peaks?

Mar 04 ,2024

An unavoidable aspect of World of Warcraft is the acquisition of gold, whether it’s for outfitting a new character or obtaining exotic mounts, among other things.

This guide will illustrate how to efficiently utilize mining and herbalism for WOTLK Classic Gold farming in the Storm Peaks zone of WotLK Classic. Additionally, I’ll reveal some concealed locations where extra materials can often be found. Given the high player activity in this zone, there’s the possibility of encountering competition for veins or herbs.

How To Efficiently Utilize Mining And Herbalism For Gold Farming In WOTLK Classic Storm Peaks?

Efficient Farming Strategies

One of the most efficient farming choices is the Night Elf Druid.

This is primarily due to the utility of their flying form, which greatly facilitates farming, along with specific spells, such as Cyclone and Shadowmeld, allowing for easier disengagement from aggroed mobs.

Our primary objective is to gather as much Lichbloom and Titanium as possible within a 10-minute timeframe, which coincides with the duration of the entire route. Along the journey, we’ll also encounter Icethorn and Saronite Ores, which are valuable but not on a par with Titanium and Lichbloom. Therefore, if multiple herbs appear simultaneously on the map, priority should be given to Lichbloom over Icethorn, and for minerals, Titanium takes precedence over rich saronite over saronite.

The route we follow is intentionally designed for bidirectional traversal, with specific caves along the way. However, entering these caves poses the risk of finding minerals already harvested by others, so we proceed into them only if Titanium or rich saronite is present.

During my expedition, I was fortunate to discover several Titanium Veins, providing a promising start. It’s crucial to traverse the entire route at least three to four times to familiarize oneself with the locations of all herbs and veins.

WOTLK Classic Titanium Veins

Furthermore, the absence of other players engaged in similar activities enhances the likelihood of successful farming. While it’s possible to traverse the entire route without collecting anything, such occurrences are rare. The Druid class is advantageous in this regard, as it allows for quicker descent from elevated positions compared to other players with alternative quests. Upon encountering a cave housing only a single saronite vein, we opt not to enter, underscoring the importance of consistently checking the minimap.

As previously mentioned, entry into caves is warranted only if titanium or rich saronite is present. If your success rate on this route is hindered by excessive player competition, consider refining the route by incorporating additional sub-routes.

At this point, you may have noticed the timer in the upper right corner, indicating the duration of our farming session which we initiated earlier. The strategy entails concluding our farming efforts after 10 minutes, followed by listing all acquired materials for auction and awaiting their sale over the course of several hours.

Subsequently, we’ll multiply our earnings by six to estimate the hourly profit achievable through farming in the Storm Peaks zone, while accounting for the deduction of 100 gold, our initial investment. Should you have friends in-game interested in purchasing the materials you’ve gathered, arranging direct transactions via mail at agreed-upon prices can circumvent the 5% auction house fee.

This assessment was conducted on the private Warmane server, within the Alliance faction. Upon completing the route, we return to our starting point, having amassed a collection of materials, ready for sale. It’s important to note that the value of these materials fluctuates daily, rendering the figures provided subject to variation.

Additionally, we’ll factor in the element of luck, considering scenarios where all gathered veins yield titanium or all herbs turn out to be Lichbloom. Following the auction listing, we patiently await the sale of our goods, facilitated by the “Auctionator” addon, which streamlines the selling process. Upon logging back into the game after a few hours, we find that all items listed have been successfully sold.

Conclusion

In total, the earnings amounted to approximately 2.4k gold, a commendable outcome for a mere 10-minute farming session.

Extrapolating this figure, the hourly earning potential exceeds 14k gold. It’s worth mentioning that a 15-minute run yielded around 3k gold, albeit slightly less lucrative on average compared to the demonstration provided.

WOTLK Classic: A Quick Guide For Anub’arak In Trial Of The Grand Crusader

Jul 04 ,2023

Welcome to TLDR wrath guide for Anub’arak for anyone who wakes up half an hour before the raid.

Anub’arak is the final boss of the Trial of the Crusader and has three phases. The first two alternate between a Boss Phase and an Add Phase until 30% where it becomes a Boss Burn.

WOTLK Classic: A Quick Guide For Anub’arak In Trial Of The Grand Crusader

During phase one, Freezing Slash freezes the tank, so just heal through it. For healers, Penetrating Cold is a DOT that affects a handful of players. Add spawn in two at a time, which need to be tanked, so have your range swap to kill them. They give the tank a stacking debuff (Expose Weakness) and buff (Spider Frenzy) each other, so they need to be killed off before the next wave. You can get some WOTLK Classic Gold while killing them.

They try to burrow away, which you need to stop by tanking them on top of blue frost patches created by killing the blue orbs in the sky. Get a DK to grip them down and hold the adds on top.

On heroic, there’s four adds per wave, so you’ll need two off tanks unless you have a chad tank who can take them all. Then they have a cast (Shadow Strike) that teleports them behind a random player and deals a lot of damage. So, it needs to be interrupted. Blizzard was actually helpful with this, as they all cast at the same time. So, you can use AOE stuns to interrupt them all.

The biggest change of heroic is there are only six orbs, so you need to manage when and where you’re going to use them. Drop on either side of the boss and hold two adds on each. But using one off tank means you only need to use one as you’ll need them for phase two.

After around 90 seconds, the boss leaves and scarabs spawn around the room. They don’t do much, so clean them up while the boss becomes a Land Shark. He targets someone and chases them down with spikes speeding up over time. And if he catches you, you’ll probably die. Kite him over a patch of blue to remove it and knock him out for a few seconds. Then, he picks a new target to do it again.

On normal, bring down a bunch of orbs so you have enough for the whole phase. On heroic, you need to kite the boss for as long as possible before stunning him, as you should only use two patches.

Have a DK pull down one orb at the far end of the room and try not to hit the phase one patch immediately. Having Paladins makes this phase easier is when the boss becomes too fast, they can use hand of protection on the unlucky bastard being chased to let them kite longer.

When you have a hand, keep the boss close to a patch and a few seconds before it finishes, run over it to stun him. The rest of the rage should be at the opposite end of the room to give the new target more time to run. Then repeat this one more time with the last target kiting until the boss reappears.

And remember, it’s better to self-sacrifice than it is to waste a floor patch. When the boss reappears, it’s back to phase one. But on heroic, you’ll only have two shots at phase two before you run out of patches, as you’ll lead them in phase three.

At 30%, the fight becomes a Boss Burn and on normal, the adds will stop spawning. You now get Leeching Swarm and Aura on the raid that deals 10% of your current health every second. Healers don’t shoot yourself when your balls drop faster than a boosted tank, as it is based on current health and not max health. So, less health means less damage.

It also heals the boss for a bit to keep the raid as low as you can, keep the tanks a little higher, and spot healing anyone with Penetrating Cold. On heroic, the adds keep spawning, so you’ll do it exactly the same as phase one. But healers need to babysit whoever has the adds.

WOTLK Classic Phase 3: A Quick Guide For TLDR Faction Champions

Jun 25 ,2023

This is a TLDR Wrath guide for the Faction Champions. Pretty PVP is forced to play the rest of the game. This is the third boss in the Trial of the Crusader, and it’s a complete show.

The fight is an arena match against 10 AI chosen from 14 random specs with at least three healers. And after the fight, you will receive many loot, which means you will get lots of WOTLK Classic Gold.

The first thing is any good PVP in those is going for the healers. The four possible Healers are Resto Druid, Resto Shaman, Discipline Priest, and Holy Paladin. Assign a kick for each healer and banish the Druid if you can as they mainly use instant casts.

Kicking the Paladin makes them useless, just like the real spec. But they can use Hand of Sacrifice and Bubble (Divine Shield). So, have a priest mask to spell them if they use it. Purge any Hots, focus the Shaman first, kick them all, and kill them before moving on to the DPS.

WOTLK Classic: A Quick Guide For TLDR Faction Champions

Strategy For Faction Champions

Some DPS are worse than others. So, I’ll start with the Spicy ones. The Enhanced Shaman puts out some serious damage, interrupts casters and drops some totems. After the healers are dead, pop last and burn him down as prior Numero Uno.

The Rogue’s a bastard as he has high burst DPS and target’s casters have a DK chain and grip him off low Health targets and watch his target of target as he can Shadowstep and unload on someone’s ass.

The Warrior is another high damage dealer and his Whirlwind will kill you. But you can disarm him to reduce the damage. Slow him, kite him, and kill him.

The Warlock is the last of the danger squad, as Hellfire will also kill you. If you stand in it, the next DPS should be killed after the previous ones as they are still annoying and can deal some high damage.

The Mage is as obnoxious as the people who play them dealing high Arcane damage and polymorphing you for fun. So, kick him to stop him from casting.

WOTLK Classic Faction Champions

The DK (Death Knight) will grip stun and slow you. But he is easier to kite and slow around himself while you deal with the others.

Shadow Priest is amazing. He wasn’t on the bench but mainly casts DoTs, which can be removed. And kick him too, for good measure.

The red Paladin won’t be too dangerous damage wise. But he will be rather annoying. Hand of Sacrifice, Divine Shield, Blessing of Protection, and Repentance will all be what he casts.

And the last two aren’t that dangerous and should definitely be left until last. The Hunter can slow you and put down Frost Traps. But his damage needs to buff. And because even the Blizzard devs hated boomies, he just cyclones people, which actually helps because it removes any DoTs you have and makes you immune. Save him till the very end while his team reports him for griefing.

General Tips

On heroic, there isn’t a lot that changes aside from not being able to taunt them and they all get a PVP trinket ability to remove CC.

On heroic, bonus many PVP drinks as you can by having your DK’s open with Hungering Cold. Don’t waste DPS killing pets until the healers are dead, as they aren’t that dangerous. Don’t overuse your CCs as they do have DR, just like real people. Using healing reduction like Mortal Strike on the kill target (Aimed Shot) while the other heroes are still alive is quite helpful. And don’t forget things like Cleanses, Purges, Spellsteals, Dispels, and Decursives.

Upcoming New Changes In WOTLK Classic Phase 3

Jun 14 ,2023

Phase 3 of Wrath of the Lich King Classic launches soon and with it brings a ton of new changes. It marks the final phase before the push to Icecrown Citadel in which players new and old will return to experience the Pinnacle of Wrath raiding.

New things such as Trial of the Grand Crusader, Heroic “Plus Plus” dungeon difficulty and more will be coming to live servers on June 20th. So, let’s dive in and talk about what’s in store for us.

Trial Of The Crusader

To start with, we have the new raid trial of the Crusader in 10-man and 25-man raid as well as heroic mode for both. With that comes five new bosses and a bunch of new loot, as well as Tier 9 armor sets. This means that you will have the opportunity to acquire a large amount of WOTLK Classic Gold.

When it comes to raid lockouts for both 10-man and 25-man raid, normal and heroic versions of the raid will now share a lockout, meaning if you choose to do 25-man heroic, you will be locked to 25-man normal as well.

Upcoming New Changes In WOTLK Classic Phase 3

With this change of shared lockouts, Blizzard has made it so the amount of Emblems of Triumph that drop off each boss is increased by 2 in 25-man raid and one in 10 man as well as an additional Trophy of the Crusade will drop in 25-man raid.

When it comes to the difficulty of the Trial of the Crusader, it is quite easier than Ulduar hard modes by far. The few bosses I have fought on the PTR that will put up a good fight for raiders are the Faction Champions Twin Valkyr and Anub’arak.

But with that being said, Phase 3 is widely regarded as an easy phase where you can gear up all your characters like it’s a walk in the park.

Ulduar Loot Changes

This is going to be no better time for everyone to level up alts and get them geared quickly since another change coming in Phase 3 is Ulduar 25 man loot will now drop in Ulduar 10 man. And Ulduar 10 man loot will be dropping off bosses in the new Heroic “Plus Plus” dungeons.

Heroic “Plus Plus”

Speaking of Heroic “Plus Plus”, this new dungeon difficulty is called Titan Protocol Beta.

Mobs will have a 140% health increase and a 40% damage increase. In addition to bosses dropping Ulduar 10-man loot. They will also drop a new currency called Sidereal Essence. This can be exchanged at a new NPC in Dalaran near emblem vendors for 10-man hard man loot.

WOTLK Classic Sidereal Essence

Onyxia’s Lair

Lastly, we have a Onyxia’s Lair launching on June 22nd, which brings the old Vanilla raid to Wrath of the Lich King.

Items will be scaled to level 80 so that 10-man raid will drop Item Level 232 items and in 25-man raid Item Level 245. There will also be a new NPC outside of the raid named Zidormi, who will let you choose between the Vanilla and Wrath of the Lich King version of the raid.

That pretty much sums it up for everything coming in Phase 3. With all the new content, I am really excited, especially since some of it did not exist in original Wrath.

A Goldmaking Guide For WOTLK Classic Phase 3 - Preparation & Investments

Jun 05 ,2023

Today, we are going to be talking about Phase 3, which is right around the corner and coming out in a couple of weeks. We will go through some goldmaking preparations and investments you can take advantage of right now and cash out on in Phase 3.

Phase 3 Intro

Before we talk about what to buy, we need to talk about what Phase 3 is.

Phase 3 introduces the Trial of the Grand Crusader Raid, as well as the addition of what is called “Heroic Plus Plus” dungeons, basically Tier 3 Heroic Dungeons, a tier above the Titan Protocol.

In essence, Phase 3 is a Phase 4 Waiting Room, Trial is a pretty short raid afterall, and Phase 4 should be out before we know it. But even still Phase 3 brings some goldmaking opportunities worth talking about.

First of all, Phase 3 brings with it some new patterns for craftable raid-level items. This is worth bringing up because even though not all of them will be best-in-slot for everyone, they will be used by people catching up on their alts in order to raid with. People that do GDKPs spend thousands of WOTLK Classic Gold to gear up alts quickly in order to make more gold through GDKPs.

So, as long as these craftable items provide worthy upgrades, people will buy them. Therefore, many materials here should see a pretty significant increase in price.

A Goldmaking Guide For WOTLK Classic Phase 3 - Preparation & Investments

Investments For Phase 3

Let’s look at some of the items I am personally buying right now and have been buying for a while, with the intention of selling them in Phase 3.

First, Titansteel Bar. These are used in many of the Blacksmithing recipes obtainable in Phase 3 and have been stabilizing at a fairly low price for the entirety of Phase 2. These badbois have already started seeing an increase in price over the last week, which to me signals they will be going up even further up until and throughout the launch of Phase 3.

Eternal Air & Eternal Life, also used in many of the craftable recipes. Now, this page has a lot of items, but we’ll divide them into sections. First off, the Arctic Fur, Ebonweave, Spellweave and Moonshroud.

Ebonweave, Spellweave & Moonshroud are used in many of the craftable recipes, in pretty big chunks as well, and they have a cooldown in order to craft, so the supply is limited. Limited supply and an increasing demand = price goes up.

Arctic Fur has been pretty low for a while and usually always goes up at the beginning of new content. Additionally, now that the WoW Token is out, Blizzard will most likely be banning bots more actively as it’s a direct impact on their business, and less skinning bots means Arctic Furs should go up in price as well.

WOTLK Classic Arctic Fur

Because the current prices of Nerubian Chitin and Icy Dragonscale are low, they’re used in crafting recipes, and less skinning bots.

It’s worth noting that based on PTR testing, the Crusader Orbs from Phase 3 drop a lot faster than Orbs did in Phase 2, and Phase 3 content will be on farm a lot faster than Ulduar was on farm. So, the availability of crafted items will be a lot faster this time around, which means the demand and price of other materials used in crafted gear might skyrocket.

For all the gems, they are here because in Phase 3 you can start transmuting Epic Gems through Alchemy. I wouldn’t expect Rare Gems to go up a lot in price. But if you have some Alchemists, you can buy these Rare Gems cheap and transmute them into Epic Gems on a Daily Cooldown.

For flasks and potions, they’re always cheaper at the end of a content cycle, and they always go up in price at the beginning of a new content cycle. This is an investment opportunity where I buy them now and sell them in Week 1 of Phase 3

Tanks and Healers still get packs from doing Heroic Plus Plus dungeons, so these will go down in price pretty quick. But if you sell them in Week 1, you can double or triple your investment pretty easily.

You also have Titanium Ores, which is where I have put a lot of my own gold, as you can start Prospecting these for Epic Gems in Phase 3. The actual demand for these is questionable because you can also buy Epic Gems with Honor Points and Emblems. But right now, Titanium Ores are essentially useless, and with Phase 3, they actually become very useful. So, in my opinion, this is an obvious moneymaker.

High-Risk Investments

You also have some slightly higher-risk investments. And I’ve actually put Titanium Ores here because of that Emblem Vendor. But you also have items like Frost Lotus, which are needed to make Flasks; Dragon’s Eyes, because people get new gear and therefore need new gems.

And you also have Dream Shards because once again people get new gear and therefore they need new enchants. Plus, because of the Heroic Plus system, not a lot of people are looting blue items disenchantable for Dream Shards anymore.

I’m also going to leave this one here as an additional High Risk / High Reward Investment: Nature & Frost Resistance Potions. It’s also worth looking into items used within raiding, and in this case, I’m specifically going to referance Flame Caps. They have already been nerfed once, it’s a pretty big chance they will not get nerfed again. And ever since they got nerfed, they have been creeping up in price, showing there is still a demand for them.

WOTLK Classic Dream Shards

From Phase 3 onwards, Flame Caps will just keep getting more and more in demand by more and more Mages speccing Fire. You will also see more Warlocks and Shamans. And even melee characters can use them. When they got nerfed, they crashed all the way down to a gold per piece.

And now they’re back up to 8-12 gold on my server, and I’ve seen them up to 25 gold again on other servers. The introduction of the WoW Token to Wrath of the Lich King Classic makes it easier than ever to just log on, do your raids, then log off.

Instead of spending hours in the game farming for gold, the people that just want to raid now have a legal way of doing so. While still having all the gold, they need without having to resort to use the black market of buying gold illegally.

To me, this spices up the goldmaking meta quite a bit and I think that will show when Phase 3 comes out and the prices of items used in raids, as well as crafted items used in gearing up alts. Once again, instead of spending 20-30 hours doing heroic dungeons to gear up for a raid, you can work an hour, buy a WoW Token, and buy full epics and then directly step foot into raids.

All New Changes In WotLK Classic Phase 3

May 24 ,2023

WOTLK Classic Phase 3 is just on the horizon. When this patch goes live, a lot of things will change. So, in this article, I’ll be talking about these changes.

A new raid is going to be introduced at 10 and 25 Man raid. It’s Trial of the Crusader, and you can even do this on Heroic Mode as well. It contains 5 different bosses and there’s no trash. So, this raid is going to be fairly fast to clear compared to Ulduar.

Next to the raid, you’ll also find a new five-man dungeon, and you will be able to do this on Heroic Plus Mode as well. Each brush on normal mode but also Heroic Mode will be dropping Epics. So, this is a dungeon that allows you to catch up on a fresh level 80 character.

On top of this, when you clear Heroic Plus Modes, you will now also get a new currency, which is called Sidereal Essence. You can spend this currency in Dalaran. And you can spend the currency and purchase Ulduar 10 man Hardmode loot from Animated Constellation, which is a new vendor in Phase 3. So, this allows you to catch up even faster on a fresh level 80 character. Besides, in Heroic Plus Modes, you now also have a chance to get Ulduar 10 man loot. This means you will have the opportunity to earn more WOTLK Classic Gold.

Arena Season 6 is also ending. And instead, we get a new Arena Season with Relentless Gladiator in Season 7. New off-pieces are also available in Stormwind City and Ulduar, so make sure to prepare some Honor so you can instantly purchase these off-pieces.

All New Changes In WotLK Classic Phase 3

Something a lot of dual crafters have also been waiting for is the possibility to prospect Titanium Ores. When you reach level 450 in dual crafting, you can now prospect these ores and when you do this, you have a chance to get one of the new Epic Gyms.

You can now do this on a level 80 difficulty mode and by doing this, you’re also rewarded with level 80 Epic Items. It’s not the best items but still, some of them are quite good for fresh double 80 characters or someone to try to catch up to prepare for the Trial of the Crusader.

We are also getting a new battleground, Isle of Conquest. This is a 40 versus 40 battle where you need to capture different objects and eventually also kill a boss. And when you have done this, you win the Battleground.

The UI and interface will also be changed. It will be a bit more similar to how it is in retail when you need to change different things. All key bindings will now also be changed in here. Back in Phase 2, it had its own separate section. This is no longer the case. So, everything you need to change will be in the options menu.

All five many heroics will now also be dropping Emblems of Conquest instead of Emblems of Valor. Emblem of Conquest can be spent in Dalaran to purchase items like Tier 8 but also items that are equal to Ulduar.

If you have any leftover emblems that you’re not going to use, then you can convert them into Emblems of Heroism. With 10 Emblems of Heroism, you can purchase some of the new Epic Gems. However, pay attention to the price because some of the lucrative are well. Most use epic gems cost 20 instead of 10. All in all, these are the changes that will happen in Phase 3.
